The College of Law provides three pathways for student participation in a Clinic cybersecurity project. Each pathway is described next.
The first pathway to Clinic participation is to take one of the following experiential learning programs. Students taking one of the following courses earn course credit for their participation.
LAW 926 – Applied Cybersecurity Management
The second pathway to Clinic participation is to complete at least one of the following prerequisite courses, complete the student application, and complete a training on working with clients on cybersecurity projects. Prerequisite courses include:
LAW 920 – Information Security Management
LAW 925 – Cybersecurity Law
The third pathway is to complete the student application and obtain permission from a faculty advisor for the Clinic at your College. For the College of Law, the Clinic faculty advisors are Anthony Volini and Max Helveston. Such special requests must be accompanied with evidence of relevant academic experience, such as relevant coursework, or other professional experience. For example, students who have completed relevant externships are typically eligible to participate in Clinic projects. Students joining the Clinic via special permission will be required to complete a training on working with clients on cybersecurity projects.
